Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner

I did a series based on the poem by Samuel Coleridge. Here's the first one.

  1. I REALLY like this new style you're working in, it feels like a comfortable working manner for you.

One thing I'd focus on is the digital brush quality. The fact that these images read so well tone and value-wise is FANTASTIC, and the compositions work really well. But seeing those d-brush details can be jarring. Find a way to play with tonal edges and implied line that feels comfortable to you. Crips near the foreground, softer line and even blurs in the background will help to give it more depth too.

Keep going with that painterly aspect though -- find textures that resonate with you.
